Awhile ago at the Oscars Keanu Reeves revealed that there was a small chance that we’d see another installment of “Bill & Ted.” Although insisting that he was serious, no one was sure how serious he really was. Recently while speaking to Empire, he revealed once again that he really wants to reprise his role as Ted Theodore Logan and that a third “Bill & Ted” film is currently being discussed.
Here’s what Reeves had to say:
I’m still friends with Alex [Winter, aka Bill], and we’re talking to Chris and Ed [Matheson and Solomon, the original writers] to see if they can write something. I’d love to play the role and work with them again. We’ll see what they do…
Personally, I would love to see Reeves and Winter unite and reprise their roles as Ted and Bill respectively. The 1989 “Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure” was one of my favorite films growing up and I have nothing but fond memories of it. I don’t care if both actors are pushing 50, I wouldn’t mind seeing a more serious film or something or that involves them going on another excellent adventure 50 years later. Maybe having learned of the death of their friend Rufus, originally played by the late George Carlin.
