Netflix’s ‘Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina’ has been one of the big surprise hits of the fall for the streaming network. Season one and a holiday special are already on the streamer and season 2 is filming and set to drop in April. Now word is coming in that Netflix has re-upped the show through season 4.
With the success of the first season, it isn’t that surprising that they are moving forward with more seasons. The announcement makes viewers who don’t want to get invested in a one-season show tune in, and locking in the contracts this early means that people won’t be waiting for more than a year between seasons… Stranger Things anyone?
Here’s the statement on the renewal from Sabrina creator and executive producer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa:
“Praise Satan! I’m so grateful to my partners at Warner Brothers, Netflix, Berlanti Television, and Archie Productions for supporting this darker vision of the world’s most famous teen witch. And I’m thrilled to be continuing to tell Sabrina’s chilling adventures with our incredible cast and crew, led by the unstoppable Kiernan Shipka.”
