If you’ve ever seen Joe vs The Volcano, you know that it’s a low bar… but still. If you drank every time Hanks said “Dante” in this 2 minute video, you’d die of alcohol poisoning. I rally can’t blame him for signing on. Tom Hanks has nothing to prove and these movies are a guaranteed European vacation. Hell, I’d take the gig in a heart beat.
Still, Mid-trailer, Tom Hanks says, “There’s always a way out.” You really have to wonder if he was talking about his character’s predicament or his own contract.
Inferno comes out on October 28th and co-stars Felicity Jones, Irrfan Khan, Omar Sy, Ben Foster, and Sidse Babett Knudsen.
Academy Award® winner Ron Howard returns to direct the latest bestseller in Dan Brown’s (Da Vinci Code) billion-dollar Robert Langdon series, Inferno, which finds the famous symbologist (again played by Tom Hanks) on a trail of clues tied to the great Dante himself. When Langdon wakes up in an Italian hospital with amnesia, he teams up with Sienna Brooks (Felicity Jones), a doctor he hopes will help him recover his memories. Together, they race across Europe and against the clock to stop a madman from unleashing a global virus that would wipe out half of the world’s population.
