If you combined Black Widow and X-23, but took away any super powers or the ability to speak Russian, you’d end up with Hanna, the new series set to hit Amazon Prime in March. If that sounds familiar to it, you aren’t imagining things. Hanna is actually an adaptation of a film by the same name that Joe Wright released back in 2011.
The new series stars Esme Creed-Miles as Hanna, the young girl trained to be a ruthless killer by her father, and Joel Kinnaman as the father in question. Mireille Enos is the CIA agent tasked with tracking down the tiny assassin. The new trailer for the series sets up an action-packed and intense new series that could be a lot of fun, but the big news is that we won’t have to wait until March to sample it. Amazon Prime will actually be releasing the pilot of the game for a 24 hour period after the end of the Super Bowl.
Check out the new trailer below:
Raised by her father in the Finnish wilderness, teenage Hanna has trained all her life to be the perfect assassin. Her father sends her on a mission, and she stealthily makes her way across Europe while evading agents sent after her by a ruthless operative named Marissa, who once worked with Hanna’s father. As she draws closer to her target, Hanna faces startling revelations about her existence and begins to question her humanity.
