Ricky Gervais has just had a hit with his recent Netflix comedy special, Humanity, and now he’s re-teaming with the streaming network for a new, 6-episode comedy series that promises to completely unleash the actor/ comedian. The show, which is called After Life, will not only feature Gervaise as the star, but he’ll also serve as writer, director, and executive producer along with his long-time collaborator Charlie Hanson.

Here’s the current synopsis for the series:

Tony had a perfect life. But after his wife Lisa suddenly dies, Tony changes. After contemplating taking his own life, he decides instead to live long enough to punish the world by saying and doing whatever he likes from now on. He thinks it’s like a Super Power — not caring about himself or anyone else — but it turns out to be tricky when everyone is trying to save the nice guy they used to know.
