There’s a new rumor floating around that might offer hope to fans still dreaming of an MCU with Tom Holland’s Spider-Man. Despite reports from both Disney and Sony that there was no chance the two would be working together in the near future, We Got This Covered is claiming that Sony has had second thoughts and have reached back out to the house of mouse with a new offer.

According to our trusted sources – the same ones who told us Marvel was developing a She-Hulk and Ms. Marvel show well before they were officially announced – the two parties are still talking and the current deal on the table is apparently for Disney to get 30% of Spider-Man. However, the agreement does ask that Venom be part of the MCU. At the moment, however, it’s unclear if the Mouse House is willing to accept the terms.

We Got This Covered

The most interesting part of this deal is that it would bring Tom Hardy’s Venom into the MCU. That alone offers up all sorts of story opportunities. Who wouldn’t want to see the Avengers take on Hulk Venom!?!

It’ll probably be a while before there’s any official news as to whether or not this is true. Personally, while we love Spidey in the MCU, we are a bit curious to see what Sony could do with a fully-realized Spider-Verse.
