Season one of the Disney reboot of Duck Tales was a massive hit, and not just because David Tennant makes a great Scrooge McDuck. The solid story and the willingness to introduce classic Disney Afternoon characters like Darkwing Duck and Gizmoduck have captured the attention of fans young and old. Well, at today’s panel for the show, we found out that the Duck Tales universe is about to get even bigger.
In a surprise appearance at the panel, Lin-Manuel Miranda (Voice of Gizmoduck/ Writer of Hamilton), let fans know that characters from Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers, TaleSpin, and Darkwing Duck’s adopted daughter, Gosalyn Mallard will appear. Also, even more characters will make their way onto the show in season 3.
It sounds like we could be looking at the jumping-off point for a full reboot of all the Disney Afternoon shows. Well, maybe not Marsupialami.
