Shazam was one of the most surprising and delightfully fun movies to come out of the DCEU and the Shazam: Fury of The Gods is heading our way… eventually. While we are still not sure if Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam will appear in the film (we are expecting a post-credits scene), we do have news about an even bigger bad-ass being cast as the film’s big bad, Hespera.
In a new report from THR, Dame Helen Mirren has been cast as the Hespera, the daughter of Atlas. She joins a cast that already includes the returning Zachary Levi as Shazam, Asher Angel as his teenage alter-ego, Billy Batson, and Rachel Zegler (West Side Story) as an unnamed character who will most likely be Mirren’s sister.
