Guy Ritchie’s “Sherlock Holmes” starring Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law doesn’t hit theaters until December 26th, but its success is already expected as Warner Bros announced that a sequel is underway. Oh and, Brad Pitt will be added on top of the already fantastic cast.

While rumors have been swirling surrounding Pitts involvement playing Holmes’ nemesis Professor Moriarty, those rumors are now confirmed as he is now in talks to play the role in the sequel. Insiders are even reporting according to The Hollywood Reporter that if Moriarty does appear in “Sherlock Holmes,” then he will be bathed in shadow and be unrecognizable.

Kieran and Michele Mulroney, a husband and wife team who are working on Warners’ back-burnered Justice League project, are set to write the screenplay which may or may not be an adaptation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s original vision.
