Sonic The Hedgehog was an OK movie, but it will always have a place in the heart for fans because it marks one of the first times that the public was able to demand a movie get fixed before release, and it actually was. Personally, we think this was a staged PR stunt, but we also love a good tin foil hat conspiracy.
Regardless, the film did well enough that a sequel is on the way and we now know that it is heading out way in 2022. We also know that the film is called Sonic 2, (or possibly Sonic 2 the Hedgehog) and, if the logo is any indication, Tails will be playing a significant role in the film.
