Primetimer seems to have dug up some dirt on the new Supergirl spinoff. the biggest news is that it sounds like the show will be starting off with a pretty significant death by way of Martha Kent. Moreover, the death will be under mysterious circumstances, setting up the plot for the first season.
The site also reported that the show will see the return of pre-crisis Supergirl villain, Morgan Edge. Edge will now be the owner of the Daily Planet and will actually fire Clark Kent at the onset of the series. Currently, it is not known whether the role of Edge will be reprised by Heroes star, Adrian Pasdar, or if they will be re-casting in the wake of Crisis.
