The first trailer has dropped for the HBO Max Adaptation of The Last of Us and as far as TV series based on video games goes, it already looks a lot better than Pramount+s Halo and Netflix’s ill-advised Resident Evil Reboot.
The new series stars Pedro Pascal as Joel, Bella Ramsey as Ellie, Gabriel Luna as Tommy, Anna Torv as Tess, Merle Dandridge as Marlene, Nick Offerman as Bill, and Nico Parker as Joel’s daughter Sarah.
‘Joel, a grizzled survivor of a dangerous post-pandemic world, who has slowly lost his sense of morality after the loss of his daughter, and Ellie, a young girl with her own struggle to find real human connection, are forced together and must travel across the U.S. in search of a feint hope for the future of humanity.’
