The first trailer just dropped for The Marvels, the Captain Marvel sequel that sees Brie Larson’s character in a Freaky Friday team-up with  Kamala Khan (Ms. Marvel) and Monica Rambeau (Spectrum). While the trailer doesn’t give too much in the way of details, it does give us the basic premise of the film. Something has gone wrong and the powers of these three heroes are linked in such a way that they will automatically swap bodies every time one of them uses their powers.

The film has a definitely younger vibe to it than some of the heavier MCU titles, but that is to be expected with the energy that Iman Velani brings to the party as the teenage hero Kamala Kahn.

To say that the first Captain Marvel was divisive is an understatement among certain fans, so there’s a lot riding on this film as Marvel heads toward their next Avengers roster. Meanwhile, it looks like the member of the team who will be the most grounding presence will not be Larson, but actually Monica Rambeau’s Teyonah Parris. We can’t tell if the film will be good or bad, but it feels unique and like the kind of film where the cast probably had a lot of fun making it. We’ll find out if they stick the landing when The Marvels hits theaters on November 10.
