When the first images for The DC Streaming Universe’s Titans series appeared online around a year ago, fans were universally unhappy with Starfire. While a very small group of people took issue with actress Anna Diop’s race, most people just hated the costume. With season 2 just around the corner and the first trailer giving us looks at Superboy, Krypto, Bruce Wayne and Deathstroke, it looks like Starfire is slated for a wardrobe change that will make a lot of fans happy.
In the comics and on TV, Starfire has gone through several costumes ranging from conservative to “well at least it covers her nipples”. The new costume isn’t exactly like any of those, but it definitely seems to borrow from several of them. Diop unveiled the new look on Instagram to celebrate getting 200,000 followers.
