In what would be considered the least surprising news of a very surprising past-few days, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, has obliterated all the competition in this week’s race for box office supremacy. Earning $112 million for the weekend, that brings its total since opening on Wednesday to over 200 Million dollars. Coming in at #2 and making almost 20% as much as Transformers is Sandra Bullock’s and Ryan Reynolds’ The Proposal. The film has performed pretty well thanks to the sultry stage presence of screen siren Betty White. Right behind Proposal in 3rd place is what will probably be known as the comedy of the summer, The Hangover. The Bradley Cooper and Zach Galifinakis starrer made $17.2 million, bringing their total to just over $183 million dollars in the four weeks that its been open. Rounding out the top five are Disney/Pixar’s blockbuster, Up, with $13 million and the newly opened Cameron Diaz / Abigail Breslin picture, My Sister’s Keeper, which brought in $12 million.
