In a a move that is not entirely surprising, Summit Entertainment is planning a set of Twilight Fan conventions. These are not the first of their kind, there have been several unofficial conventions around the country … can’t wait to see the cease and desist letters pop up in their mailboxes…
The conventions will begin this year and go for the next three years. Beginning Aug. 28 at the Hilton Parsippany Hotel in Parsippany, N.J., weekend conventions will be held in such cities as Chicago; Miami; Seattle; Nashville; San Francisco; Atlanta; Los Angeles; Charlotte, N.C.; Minneapolis; Phoenix; Boston; Toronto; and Portland, Ore.
The conventions will feature on-stage appearances by “Twilight” celebrities, screenings of exclusive footage, panel discussions, parties, musical performances, costume and trivia competitions, auctions, autographing, merchandising and photo opportunities. “Twilight” fan sites, including www.twilightlexicon.com and www.twilightmoms.com, will take part with special presentations at stops on the convention tour.
There’s not much time till the first one… I hope all the boys can get pale enough in time!
