It’s going to be a big year for The Ghostbusters. Not only are we getting a new movie that is directly connected to the original canon in Ghostbusters: Afterlife, but Hasbro has taken over the toy license and it’s looking like we could be in for an epic year of Ghostbusters toys. We don’t have details or images, but we can figure some things out from the titles. Either way, we’ll probably see what’s coming soon because the line is set to drop in April.
It’s a good bet that the “Plasma” figures is what they’ll be calling the Ghostbusters version of Star Wars Black series or Marvel Legends. Unfortunately, the character names are all covered with very healthy codenames. Beyond that, there’s a ton of roleplay, which will hopefully foster in a whole new generation of kids wanting to cross the streams, and there is also an Ecto-1 playset, which could be very cool based on what we’ve seen in the Afterlife trailer.
