FOX has to be kicking themselves for a couple of the shows they’ve dropped over the last few years. Not only is Brooklyn Nine-Nine doing gangbusters over at NBC, but Lucifer has become one of the most consistently streamed shows on Netflix. In fact, the show, which was rescued from cancellation by the streamer, was set to end with the series 5 finale, but it gets such good numbers that the network has already signed Tom Ellis to return for at least one more season after that.
When season 4 ended, we were left with a hell of a cliffhanger… literally. Now we finally know when we’ll get to find out what happens. In a new video that shows off 66.6 seconds of the series’ steamiest footage, Netflix has formally announced that season 5 of Lucifer will drop on August 21.
