Some of the most interesting toys getting made right now are from the bootleg side of the industry. I’m not talking about the horrible, but amusing knock off Star Wars figures from China, but the new sculpts and mash-ups being created by artists like Falcontoys, and Special Ed Toys. The latter has a very cool bootleg exclusive coming out for NYCC that is inspired by Stranger thing’s Eleven.
Here’s the hard part. The downside of these collectibles is that they are not easy, or cheap, to get a hold of. This figure, for example, is limited to just 11 pieces and will set you back $120.00. If you want one, you’d best get to NYCC booth #575 as soon as the convention begins.
