Our friends over at Symbiote Studios informed us of their new special project for the Star Wars Shop, a set of Darth Vader Bookends!
“These bookends will depict Vader’s lightsaber burning through the wall on a ship with metal melting down the front and back of the bookends. The blade of the lightsaber lights up and makes a really cool night light for any room.
The concept is loosely based on the scene in The Phantom Menace when Qui-Gon melts through the doors on a ship. We thought that Vader must have been in a similar situation and it would be cool to depict this as bookends.”
Below you can view some early prototype work and get a sense of what the final project will look like when complete. Symbiote Studios will have more photos as the sculpt progresses.
