A Dog’s Stab is Worse Than His Bark

In a story that surprisingly doesn’t come from Florida, a Denver Colorado woman is recovering after being stabbed in the arm by her knife-wielding Chesapeake Bay retriever dog named “Mia.” No, the dog didn’t achieve hyper intelligence and rise up against man like an episode of Rick and Morty. This was something a little more simple and a lot more stupid.

Mia’s owner had neglected to clear the table, which she always does because the dog is a retriever and she will retrieve pretty much anything. Unfortunately, the thing she missed a a paring knife. When Mia’s owner tried to get it out of her mouth, she ended up needing to go to the hospital for stitches.

Not to be undone, when the police got involved in the situation, their first instinct was to accuse the owner’s husband of stabbing his wife, despite the fact that he had been at work when the accident occurred.

In the end, everyone is OK, no one is in jail or the pound, and Mia’s owner will probably be a little more careful about what she leaves on the counter.
