Ad Agency Wants To Brand You Like Cattle

The mark of the beast comes in all forms. Some people think it will be chips under our skins. Others say it will be 666’s branded on our foreheads, but if my guess is right… what we have here is a sign of the apocalypse.

It’s one thing to put on a shirt or a pair of pants that has a brand emblazoned on it, but it goes to a whole new creepy level when companies start secretly imprinting their logos on our hides!

Superette, an Auckland boutique chain, wanted to promote their short shorts sale via new form of personal branding advertising.

From ad agency DDB Auckland’s press release:
“We put indented plates on bus stop, mall, and park benches, so that when people sat down, the message was imprinted on their thighs. This meant that as well as having branded seats, a veritable army of free media was created, with thousands of imprints being created and lasting up to an hour.”

Sure, I’ll give them points for creativity and innovation, but this whole thing creeps me out on a totally different level. if you sit down on a hot bench and your shorts are so short that you have this logo on your thighs when you get up… think about the thousands of other sweaty people you just pressed flesh with by proxy.
