Asia: The World’s First Virtual Grocery Store

Imagine being able to do all your grocery shopping by scanning a wall in a subway station with your phone. That was the solution that Supermarket chain Tesco thought up for their Korean grocery chain Homeplus. Koreans are really busy people. You have no idea how much time Starcraft can eat out of your day when it is your national sport. They are so busy that they dread going grocery shopping and would rather do almost anything else.

To help this, Tesco created virtual grocery stores in subway stations. Just scan the QR codes of the foods you like and then add them to your shopping cart. Within a few minutes of arriving at home, your groceries will be delivered to your door and you are free to commence with another Zerg Rush.
