Ballerina Dances On Pointe With Knives Strapped To her Shoes

Ballet Dancing is hard. It takes concentration, flexibility, and ridiculously strong toes. Now, imagine performing ballet, while two large butcher knives are strapped to your feet.

This short film by Javier Pérez’s, titled “En Puntas”, shows dancer, Amélie Ségarra literally dancing on the point of a knife. Not the edge, like ice skaters, but on the actual point. The short video is extremely intense as you watch her try to maintain her balance while on top of a grand piano. You’ll find yourself holding your breath for the entire thing.
