Controlled Quantum Levitation on a “Wipe Out” Track!

Last week, the net was buzzing over an amazing video that demonstrated practical quantum levitation. That alone would have been one of the coolest things that we’d ever seen. Now, the Japan Institute of Science and Technology has taken their new tech and made it even cooler! After all, what better way to demonstrate an amazing new technology than by using it to create a scale model of one of the best racing games ever?

Here’s what they had to say about it:
Here is a short footage on our recent work on quantum levitation. We were inspired by the game Wipe’out to do our work. With this new technology, we hope to revolutionize the world of motor transport; Maybe in a near future we could assist to a real Wipe Out race.
