Creative Grooming, Transforming Pooches Into Other Animals

Photographer Ren Netherland travels thousands of miles each year to attend dog grooming competition where poodles are transformed into camels, buffalo, pandas, and even Pittsburgh Steelers. Using sheers and paint, dogs are transformed in just about two hours to achieve their “creative” look.

Here are some crazy transformations captured by Netherland. I always thought dressing a dog ought to be a crime, but this is insanity. As creative and interesting as the results may be, something in the back of my mind keeps telling me that this wrong and disturbing in various ways.
