David Bowie’s ‘Space Oddity’ Reimagined As A Children’s Book

Check out this ambitious project by artist Andrew Kolb where he reimagines the story of David Bowie’s “Space Oddity” in the style of an illustrated children’s book. The art is colorful and retro and it does perfect justice to Major Tom, an isolated astronaut whose life is threatened by a malfunction.

Released in 1969, Bowie’s “Space Oddity” is a reference to Stanley Kubrick’s “2011: A Space Odyssey.” It’s recommend that Kolb’s “book” be read while listening to “Space Oddity.” If you want your own copy of Kolb’s book, it can be downloaded at his website.
