Disabled Boy Walks To His Returning U.S. Marine Father For First Time

It is one thing when a soldier comes home and his baby is old enough to walk for the first time. It is a whole other thing when the child is a six year old with cerebral palsy about whom the father had been told would never walk in his life.

I can’t imagine what must have been going through the mind of the soldier, the wife or his kids… well all but the one who seemed more interested in keeping her plate of food than hugging her daddy.

Still, this is just amazing.

Here is what the mom from the video had to say:
“When my husband left on his deployment, our 6-year-old son could not walk on his own. He has cerebral palsy. Doctors originally said that he would never walk or do much of anything. While daddy was away, he learned to walk. For his homecoming, we set it up for Michael to walk to his daddy for the first time ever! We kept the fact that he could walk a secret the whole time his dad was gone!”
