George Carlin will forever be remembered for his biting social commentary, ability to bring humor into the darkest situation, the seven words you can’t say on television, and his iconic turn as Rufus in Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure. But, did you know that the comedian once had a comedy special that was accidentally timed so poorly that it was never fully released?
The name of the special was “I kinda like it when a lot of people die” and it featured a closing act about how he likes it when a lot of people die in a disaster. Unfortunately for him, he recorded the special on September 9th and 10th of 2011.
According to an interview between Joe Rogan and Anthony Jeselneck, the original recording of the special was destroyed, but all of the recorded bits from Carlin’s practice sets were eventually released as a CD in 2016. Check out the audio below, via YouTube:
