Iceberg Hits ‘Titanic’ – Three Hospitalized

The headline might sound like it’s around a hundred years too late, but that’s pretty much what happened. Sure, it was the Titanic museum and it wasn’t a real iceberg, but the injuries are real and the coincidence is kind of nutty.

It all went down at the Titanic Museum Attraction in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. There you can tour a massive replica of the ship and the iceberg that did it in. But, something went wrong at the normally safe tourist trap according to owners Mary Kellogg Joslyn and John Joslyn.

“Tonight, an accident occurred at our Titanic Museum Attraction in Pigeon Forge,”

“Our iceberg wall collapsed and injured 3 guests who were taken to the hospital. At this time, we do not know the extent of their injuries.”

“Needless to say, we never would have expected an incident like this to occur as the safety of our guests and crew members are always top of mind.  We take pride in the quality of our maintenance and have measures in place to ensure that appropriate safety guidelines are upheld.”

“Our thoughts and prayers are with those who were injured, as well as their family and friends.”

Known as the world’s largest Titanic Replica, the museum has over $4.5million worth of artifacts, as well as a $1million exact replica of the ship’s famous Grand Staircase. When visiting, you can do anything from shovel coal, to experience the icy cold of 28 degree water, or even try your hand at walking down the sloping deck of the sinking ship as you jump into a lifeboat.
