They believe that eating cat burgers, fried cat legs and tails, and whatever other parts they can find – can cure bronchial disease.
ironically enough, they also believe that the cat meat is a great aphrodisiac.
Not to worry though, these aren’t pets being brought to the slaughter, they are specially bred cats who are raised for the sole purpose of the festival.
In the “Omg, I can’t believe it!” department, PETA has come out against this cultural event as cruel and senseless slaughter. Peta has also come out recently advocating the commercialization of human breast milk instead of cow’s milk.
Tell PETA I’d love to do some of my community service hours in that factory.
