For all those who wish life was a comic book, this hack was made just for you!
A few students at Carnegie Mellon University have come up with a geeky Microsoft Kinect hack that turns actions and motion into colorful SFX displays reminiscent of the classic 1960s’ “Batman” TV series starring Adam West and Burt Ward.
The Comic Kinect hack allows players to virtually pummel each and create sound effects and sparks similar to the classic “Pow!,” “Bam!,” and “Biff!” that made “Batman” a household name. While the hack isn’t exactly precise or perfect, it seems like a lot of fun and could lead to new potentials and gaming ideas. if nothing else comes out of this, hey, at least you’ll get to feel what it’d be like to punch your friend in the face and have it display “POW!”
