The Italian fashion design company, Kloters, has just launched a new crowd-funding campaign for a t-shirt that they claim helps clean the air by capturing and destroying pollutants and bad smells. The new shirt, which they’ve called the RepAir uses a new patented fabric called “Breath.”
Tests at the Università Politecnica delle Marche, have shown that the fabric has been able to “absorb up to 97 percent of volatile organic compounds, 92 percent of sulfur dioxide and 86 percent of nitrogen oxides.” As you can see in the video, the Breath fabric sits in a large chest pocket on the shirt. All in all, they are saying that wearing the shirt will help offset the pollution caused by two traditional automobiles.
