It’s 2011 and now thanks to some eggheads you can actually dying while playing a video game! Researchers at the University of California Irvine has found a way to convert Sega’s classic OutRun arcade game into an augmented reality driving game. It works by a camera that’s mounted on the golf cart/cabinet that turns real world roads and obstacles into an augmented state. What does that mean? It means you can actually “race” while you play. And if you crash in the game… well, you crash in real life.
