Finding Delorean time machines and even the occasional Batmobile being put up on the auction blocks is relatively common, but this is the first time I’ve ever seen a General Lee. If you’re a “Dukes of Hazzard” fan and live in Canada or shipping is of no value to you, here’s your chance to own a General Lee replica!
According to the listing, it was bought by the seller in 2000 and restored with a new 440 magnum and a 727 transmission. The 500 hoursepower car also features a rebuilt interior. Over $50,000 was spent on restoring it. And of course, the doors aren’t wielded shut for legal reasons.
Although the seller doesn’t specifically say why he’s selling “the love of his life,” it might have something to do with the crazy amount of attention it receives and the fact that he can’t deal with it any longer.
The asking price of the General Lee? $35,000neg… I’d so buy it if I could.
