Not wanting to go head-to-head with other whimsical music video submissions for Sweat Reacords Rachel Goodrich Music Video contest, Lucas Leyva entered this ridiculously-brilliant music video setting her indie single “Light Bulb” to the “trappings” of a gangsta rap video. According to Leyva, he did put some thoughts into the video and eloquently explains it as such:
The simplistic lyrics of “Light Bulb” by Rachel Goodrich are a paean to a child’s worldview. Joy is expressed through the acknowledgment of things most adults don’t notice in their day-to-day existence: blue skies outdoors, rooftops and light bulbs indoors.
