If you ever wanted a reason not to go for a run, this story could be all the demotivation you’ll need.
A runner in Independence, Kansas just crossed his last finish line as he was struck down by lightning at the end of a 50 KM/ 31 Mile race. Officials tried to administer CPR to the 33 year-old man, but they were unable to revive him at the scene.
In a very odd turn, someone thought anyone still cared about the runner getting a medal, so the race official presented it to the runner’s widow and mother of their three children.
WTF?!?
