In what had to be an equally strange experience for the flight crew as it was for the the birds, a Saudi Prince took 80 of his best falcons for a ride on a plane. We don’t know exactly why the Prince did this, but we think that he was transporting his Falconry squad to a competition. Falconry is a popular sport in the Middle East (and the middle ages…), and birds can cost up to a quarter million dollars a piece. The cost of flying the birds is $650 per bird, and they each need their own passport. I wonder where they keep it?
