A schoolgirl escaped with barely a scratch when she was hit by a speeding bus – and landed right in a snowdrift. From the video below, you can watch as Zhanna Sankina, 16, is hit by a bus as she is running across the road.
The youngster, from Orenburg, Russia, said: “When the bus smashed into me I didn’t know what was going on. I just woke up and saw all the doctors around me.”
Accident experts believe that the crash pushed Zhanna into a deep pocket of snow which absorbed the impact like shock-absorbing foam or an airbag. “She walked away with barely a bruise. On a sunny day she would have been dead,” said one traffic cop.
