An eerie ghost like apparition was recently captured on security cameras in a pub and the business next door. The bizarre 35-second sequence recorded by a CCTV camera in the middle of the night at The Wolfe pub reveals a ball of light descending through the ceiling, its outline pulsating as it travels and floats around. At one point it even manifests itself to assume the likeness of a human face.
The pub’s landlord, Andrew Batemen, 38, was floored and speechless when he saw the images. When he mentioned it to the Thomas Cook travel agents next door – they said they had captured weird apparitions on their CCTV cameras as well.
Andrew, who has run the pub for 17 years, said his Patterdale terrier dog Dudley becomes fearful when passing through the pub’s doors.
At Thomas Cook next door, 22-year-old Amy Dryden said she has been losing sleep since seeing the images.
She said: “It’s quite scary.
“This place used to be a funeral parlour and when you’re upstairs where we keep our brochures I often get the feeling that I’m being watched. I was absolutely gobsmacked when I saw the CCTV from the pub.”
Having never been a supernatural guy I’m not sure what to make of this. If it’s a ghost, it’s a ghost. If it isn’t a ghost, then I’m sure there’s some scientific explanation for it. For now I’ll keep an open mind and wonder… Casper, is that you?
