The Gang from Youtube’s HowRidiculous channel just put out a new video that was so ridiculous we had to share it with you. In the new vid, they have two watermelons. One is naked and the other is coated with a product they call Nylex. To test the protective coating, they drop both watermelons from a 150 ft tower. The result is actually quite amazing.
I am not going to say that the watermelon coated in the spray actually survived the fall. Truthfully, the impact pretty much liquefied its insides. That said, the coating didn’t split and the watermelon actually bounced 20-30 feet off the ground! To give you another example of how strong this coating was, they tried to break through it with an ax, but they were unsuccessful. They only gained access after taking it to a table saw.
