Spider-Man Thwarts Comic Book Story Robbery

Spider-Man, Spider-Man, does whatever a spider can — even if it means catching an alleged thief trying to steal an X-Men omnibus.

Michael Baulderstone, 45, a comic book store owner dressed as Spider-Man became a real superhero after stopped a shoplifter in his in comic book store at Comic Centre in Adelaide, Australia.

Security tapes show Mr Baulderstone, confronting the man before stopping him and confiscating the book. On top of that, a group of Jedi knights blocked the door to prevent him from escaping, along with The Flash.

“The thief didn’t have much of a choice but to hand the book back after a little bit of a scuffle.”

He added that customers initially thought the incident was a stunt, until Mr Baulterstone told them to call the police.

“It was a bit serious at the time, but now we’re looking back laughing at what greeted police when they arrived,” he said.
