Eatmedaily had the chance to showcase chocolates inspired by violence and death by New York and Moscow-based chocolate artist Stephen J Shanabrook.
Since 1990s, Shanabrook has been molding chocolate based off fatal wounds of anonymous people in Russian and US morgues. It’s a series of works described by Shanabrook as “very close to the edge, the forbidden place for artists,” and what what one critic called “bonbons of mortality.”
