Stephen J Shanabrook’s Chocolate Inspired Art Of Violence and Death

Eatmedaily had the chance to showcase chocolates inspired by violence and death by New York and Moscow-based chocolate artist Stephen J Shanabrook.

Since 1990s, Shanabrook has been molding chocolate based off fatal wounds of anonymous people in Russian and US morgues. It’s a series of works described by Shanabrook as “very close to the edge, the forbidden place for artists,” and what what one critic called “bonbons of mortality.”

For more, please visit Shababrook’s personal site.
