Taking a page out of Michael Bay’s film scripts, Taiwan has learned that giant transforming robots are an awesome way to recruit unsuspecting teens, especially unsuspecting teens who’ve grown up in a mechas and Gundams centric culture. I would hate to see the face of said teens when they enlist only to realize their tanks and F-16 doesn’t actually transform and roll out.
Talk about soul crushing.
One thing I don’t understand however is, by laws any males born in Taiwan and/or males over 18 are required to serve in the military. That means you can be a US citizen, have blue eyes and be blond and you’ll still have to serve in Taiwan’s military… so I’m not even sure why Taiwan needs to recruit at all.
