The Awesome and Geeky Art of Justin Hillgrove

We’ve seen some coop pics from Justin Hillgrove floating around the net lately, so we popped over to his website, Impsandmonsters.com and we gathered up a pile of his artwork. He definitely brings a new take to a lot of the pop culture icons that we’ve all grown to know and love. His mash ups of Miyazaki’s animation with Where the Wild Things Are, are very cool and there’s something disturbing, yet still a little lovable in his Kermit in a Jar. I really liked that he goes for subjects that just don’t get much coverage in this format. I mean… who makes cartoon style paintings of The Cure’s Robert Smith?

You can buy prints of any of these paintings on Justin’s website, Impsandmonsters.com
