The Force Not With Vader Costume At Christie’s Auction

A little while back we mentioned that you could bid one one of the original Darth Vader costumes from the original Star Wars Trilogy. Well it looks like the force was just not with them when the gavel came down on the auction. In fact, bidding was so poor that they pulled the item out of the auction when it couldn’t get more than 150,000 Pounds. They had anticipated a selling price between 150,000 and 230,000.

In an even bigger slap in the face to Star Wars fans everywhere, another item in the auction, the Walther pistol held by Sean Connery in an ad for “From Russia With Love” sold for nearly a half million dollars.
