The Internet is apparently more than just Facebook and FourSquare. It’s also a powerful social media driven Amber alert.
According to reports, roughly 24 hours ago, 16-year-old Faisal Fri went missing from his family’s home in Dhahran, Suadi Arabia. The news reached Twitter and the #FaisalDH hastag was created with an image of Faisal and contact information for his family. Through the magic of the Internet and some good Twitters, he was found merely three hours later.
As if finding Faisal wasn’t impressive enough, the initial tweet from Twitter user Mohammed Al Modhayan even made it into a Top Tweet position due to retweets and mentions that spawn virally within a matter of minutes.
