University Of Florida’s Zombie (Life Impaired Individuals) Contingency Plan

The University of Florida is prepared for all sorts of disasters, apparently even zombies.

University of Florida’s e-Learning Support Service recently posted a disaster-recovery exercise explaining how the school could respond to an outbreak of the undead. The site also contains plans for events such as hurricanes.

The zombie attack exercise lays out the university’s response to attacks by “flesh-eating, apparently life impaired individuals” (I like how PC they are by calling them “impaired individuals”).

According to the plan, “Some employees may prefer weapons such as chain saws, baseball bats, and explosives that have been shown to be effective against zombies.”

It includes an “infected co-worker dispatch form” where you can rat out infected co-workers by listening their symptoms such as “lack of rational thought (this can cause problems confusing zombies with managers).”

A University of Florida spokesman said the exercise was designed to “add a little bit of levity” to disaster preparation discussions.
