If this video is any indication, science may be slowly catching up to fiction and in a few more years — namely 2015 — we may all be like Marty McFly with a hover board we can call out own. Using the same concept of quantum locking as seem in the now infamous Israeli Aviv University clip, a group of French science nerds have created what is perhaps the first hover board. While it doesn’t look like much, it is proven to be a success based on the various test runs and it could mean that a better designed and more conceptually sound hover board may just be a few years away.
