‘Walt Disney World’ Live Flyover of Completely Empty Theme Park

In 2018, nearly 21 million people visited the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. The park, which is part of Disney World, the number one most visited theme park in the world has only ever shut down for hurricanes and 9/11. As it stands now, Disney World has been closed since March 15th due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Where there are normally 40,000 workers and more than 50,000 guests a day, now there is nothing.

The good news is that the theme park just started taking reservations for a possible, partial reopening in July. The bad news is that the rides are sitting idle and tens of thousands of workers are currently sitting unemployed while they wait for the world to start back up.

Today, a local news channel took a trip over the currently quiet theme park to show what Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and The Animal Kingdom all look like when they aren’t filled with their standard crowds of vacationers. It’s really cool, and more eerie than you’d expect.
